Applying Theory to Practice

Beer brewing and label design will be on the timetable for students at Mosjøen videregående skole, Sentrum, the coming weeks.

Jason Ball gave the chemistry students at Mosjøen videregående skole a special assignment on Wednesday – brew two types of beer that can potentially be served at ArktiskMat 2022. The students were instructed to create one beer of their choice, using a characterising local ingredient, and one non-alcoholic beer, brewed in collaboration with Oregon State University.

In addition to the brewing, communication and culture students at the school were tasked with designing labels for the beers, and English students were asked to produce a film, documenting the process.
