ArktiskMat at Tall Ship Races Arendal 2023

As part of the marketing of the Cultural Capital project, a team from ArktiskMat and Bodø2024 traveled to Arendal the first weekend in August to participate in the grand event, Tall Ship Races. One of the main objectives of the trip was to showcase North Norwegian seafood, and several seafood producers sponsored the event.

The harbor in Arendal was filled with large sailboats on Thursday. On Friday morning, we hosted a smaller event where we grilled whale on the tall ship Sørlandet. The main event took place on the Christian Radich on Saturday morning, where four exquisite dishes were prepared in the galley and served on the boat deck, showcasing Bodø2024 as the cultural capital. It was two beautiful days of true southern coastal charm by the sea!
