Cloudberry Artwork for ArktiskMat “Nurture” 2024
Once again artist Anine Hansen has done her magic and created the graphics for the ArktiskMat symposium. The first sneak peek of the artwork for this year’s poster is the beautiful cloudberry! From ancient times, the Rubus Chamaemorus or the cloudberry has been considered the noblest of all wild berries in the Arctic. It grows high up in the mountains and on the thousand of islets along the coast. The cloudberry is perfect for this year’s topic, as it’s juicy, sweet and packs a real nutritional punch! In folk medicine and among sailors it was a known remedy to prevent scurvy as it’s rich in vitamin C, antioxidants and fiber.
