Are you based in Europe and want to join us at this year’s ArktiskMat on 11– 12th September 2026?

ArktiskMat invites chefs, creators, food thinkers and culinary innovators to submit proposals for a 20-minute on-stage presentation and live demo reflecting the central theme - CREATION - at the 2026 symposium in Mosjøen, Northern Norway.

CREATION is at the heart of gastronomy. It is where nature meets imagination. Where tradition is reinterpreted. Where fire, fermentation, craft, science and storytelling transform ingredients into food experiences.

We are looking for presentations that explore:

  • New culinary expressions rooted in Arctic ingredients

  • Creative reinterpretations of food heritage

  • Crossovers between gastronomy, science, craft and sustainability

  • Innovation driven by landscape, climate and culture

  • Personal journeys of creation in food, farming or food systems

Selected participants will:

  • Present a 20-minute live demo on stage

  • Prepare and showcase a dish inspired by Arctic ingredients or traditions

  • Share reflections, projects, or creative processes

  • Include digital or visual material if desired

  • Participate in a short Q&A session

A simple demo kitchen setup will be provided, including access to a kitchen and grill in advance. The demonstration will be filmed and live-streamed within the venue so the audience can follow every detail.

Submission Guidelines (use the form under to submit):

  1. A short presentation concept (max 500 words)

  2. Description of the dish or culinary idea you wish to showcase

  3. How your work connects to the theme CREATION

  4. Short bio (max 200 words)

ArktiskMat will cover travel expenses to and from Mosjøen and include access for all talks & meals during the weekend.

Deadline for submissions is June 14th and the winner will be announced in the end of June!
